Michael Kelly is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. While at Pacific College, he completed clinical internships at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center, St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, and at the Pacific College Acupuncture Clinic in Manhattan. He is national board certified in acupuncture and herbology from the NCCAOM, and has been licensed to practice acupuncture in New York State since 2002.
Michael practices Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, Master Tung’s Acupuncture, and Auricular Acupuncture. Michael completed Addiction Detoxification Specialist Certification at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center in the South Bronx and is NADA certified. He has completed holistic health training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is currently completing certification training in functional medicine.
Michael has run a community acupuncture clinic in the past and supports community health activism and community acupuncture initiatives, and often volunteers his time to support the growth of community health and wellness.
Michael has trained in the Emei Qigong system and practices / teaches traditional qigong methods. He has been a lifelong student of the martial arts and holds the rank of Kidan Sensei (Shihan) in Jujitsu and Nidan in Nisei Goju-Jitsu Karate. He also holds rank in USJA judo and has practiced Iaido and kali.
In Michael’s free time, he enjoys practicing Chinese metaphysics and astrology, hydroponic gardening, and running the many trails in Southwest Westchester.
Michael has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.
